Jiuxiang and Shilin were unlike anything I had seen before. Walking through the caves and then seeing the stone peaks felt almost unreal, and I kept stopping just to take it all in.

If you think you've seen it all, come to Yunnan. The Karst caves and the Stone Forest are just mind-blowing—photos don't do them justice. After miles of walking, soaking in the Mile hot springs was the best thing ever for my sore muscles. What I loved most was the culture; seeing how so many different ethnic groups live together and share their traditions is absolutely unique in Asia. It's a very real, unfiltered, and deeply relaxing trip. Loved every bit of it.
